How long does it take to produce a Dala horse?

We usually have all the Dala horses you see on the website in stock. For special orders, it can take 7-20 working days to produce.

What is this size of a Dala horse?

We measure the height of the horse, from its legs to the tip of its ears. In special cases, we measure the size differently - please see each individual listing for detailed description.

How long does delivery take?

The processing time of your order depends on the horse you order. It is specified under each listing. Delivery time: To Europe: 3-4 working days. To the USA: 4-5 working days. To Australia: 6-8 working days. Rest of the world: 4-6 working days.

Are the Dala horses handmade?

What payment methods are accepted?

Can I place a special order?

Is the production of the Dala horses eco-friendly?

Yes! Recycled wood is used for the production of the horses and all the paints used are certified as safe for the environment.

My package arrived damaged or is missing. What do I do?

If your package arrived damaged and the Dala product you ordered is damaged, take a photo of both the Dala product and the package and send it to us. It is important you send the photo on the day you receive the damaged items and not later. It is important you keep the damaged package and items until the issue is resolved. If you cannot provide the photos of the damaged items and package, refund will not be possible. This is to protect the shop from fraudulent customer behavior. If your package is missing, we need an official confirmation from the post office that your package is missing before we can process any refunds.

Why is the pattern on the horse I bought a little different from the photo?

This is because Dala horses are hand made and different painters may have different styles and use different combination of colours. Smaller horses have simpler patterns. The bigger the horse, the more detailed the pattern.

How can I return a product?

We gladly accept returns and cancellations. Contact us within 14 days of delivery. Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery. Request a cancellation: before item has been shipped. The following items can't be returned: special orders, items on sale. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs, including any extra charges that the customs or post office may apply in Sweden. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Dalaart keeps your payment information secure. Dalaart never receives your credit card information. We do not handle any payment information. Anything related to payments is handled securely by Stripe, our payment processor, which makes our system PCI compliant. We do not even store credit card details on mobile devices.
