The first "Curious Leksands horse" was made in 1948. The pattern originally comes from wallpaper, inspired by "Solomos dom" by Winter Karl Hanssin Yttermo (1777-1805).
This Dala horse is handcrafted and hand-painted in Sweden. 100% handmade. Every Dala horse is unique and the pattern can be slightly different from the photo.

Recycled wood is used for the production of the horses and all the paints used are certified as safe for the environment. All Dala horses are hand-carved and handmade.
