The first Dala horse with its head turned to the side dates back to the 1900s. The carver Anders Brändin Bergström (1870-1958) was from Viborg, village in Orsa. He is famous for his horses carved with wooden tails, split years, and eyes. Some of his horses have heads like no other Dala horse - turned to the side.
This horse is handmade. Every Dala horse is unique and the pattern and colors of the ornaments can be different from the photo.
