Original traditional Dala horse in black, handcrafted and hand-painted in Dalarna, Sweden. Available in 4 different colors.

The Dala horse is a traditional carved, painted wooden statue of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days, it was mostly used as a toy for children, while in modern times, it has become a symbol of Dalarna, as well as of Sweden in general.

This is handmade. Every Dala horse is unique and the pattern can be slightly different from the photo. The smaller the Dala is, the simpler the pattern is.

Recycled wood is used for the production of the horses and all the paints used are certified as safe for the environment. All Dala horses are hand-carved and handmade.
